Community Stories

  • Final Design and Permitting Under Way

Through late 2026, we’re wrapping up final design and permit review for the new TowneBank Symphony Park. These important steps clear the final hurdles to beginning construction soon.

  • Public Art Visioning

SouthPark Community Partners and LandDesign are collaborating with a Charlotte-area public artist to build the vision for dynamic, permanent public art throughout the park.

  • Planning for Future Events

We're planning free community programming for the revitalized park, including yoga, farmers markets and movie nights, alongside longtime favorites like the Charlotte Symphony’s Summer Pops, Charlotte Turkey Trot and SouthPark After 5.
